Funds may be awarded up to $100,000 for Phase I and up to $450,000 for Phase II.

Success rates for applicants have been about 11% for Phase I and 50-60% for Phase II.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
*Organization Limit: Proposals may only be submitted by the following: -For-profit organizations: U. S. commercial organizations, especially small businesses with strong capabilities in scientific or engineering research or education.

*PI Limit:The primary employment of the Principal Investigator (PI) must be with the small business concern at the time of the award.

A PI must spend a minimum of one calendar month on an SBIR Phase I project.
