in life spans between human and nonhuman primate species.
This opportunity will provide support for experienced investigators in pertinent fields to 1) augment or redirect their research program by acquiring expertise in other fields related to comparative primate research and aging and 2) develop collaborations with research fields with which they do not commonly interact.
Pertinent fields of cross-training for this NOFO include comparative biology of aging, evolutionary genetics, evolutionary biology, anthropology, primatology, and human longevity studies.
Specific emphasis for this NOFO will be on cross-training independent investigators in a substantially different area of study than their current field of study in one or more of the above scientific disciplines.
An academic rank of associate or full professor, or the equivalent in non-academic research settings, is required for eligibility for this award.
