Fiscal Year 2013 Chesapeake Bay Fisheries Science

The NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office (NCBO) is directed by congressional mandate to provide technical assistance in:
(1) identifying science-based management options for restoration and protection of living resources and their habitats; (2) monitoring and assessing the status of living resources and their

credit:


habitats; and, (3) evaluating the effectiveness of management plan implementation.

NCBO encourages projects that are collaborative, interdisciplinary, and will leverage other resources.

Preference will be given to projects with clear management applications.

Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education, other nonprofits, commercial organizations, foreign governments, organizations under the jurisdiction of foreign governments, international organizations, and state, local and Indian tribal governments.

Federal agencies or institutions are not eligible to receive Federal assistance under this notice.

The Department of Commerce/ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (DOC/NOAA) is strongly committed to broadening the participation of historically black colleges and universities, Hispanic serving institutions, tribal colleges and universities, and institutions that work in underserved areas.

The NCBO encourages proposals involving any of the above institutions.
