The efforts involve co sponsorships of professional conferences, meetings, workshops, and other fora for interdisciplinary


and inter-organizational dialogue among the many people involved in and needed for the protection of and understanding of natural, cultural, recreation, and related areas such as national parks and monuments, and to promote and facilitate the attendance and participation in such conferences, meetings and fora of Native Americans and minority students and faculty.

This period of performance is expected to span five years.
