Joint Conservation, Park Improvement, Youth Employment and Education Activities

The purpose of this cooperative agreement with the North East Trees is to conduct joint conservation, restoration, park facilities improvement, education, and youth work experience activities throughout the Mediterranean Coast Network parks MEDN and their environs.

MEDN consists of Santa Monica


Mountains National Recreation Area, Channel Islands National Park, and Cabrillo National Monument.

Specific projects will be implemented through individual task agreements under this cooperative agreement.

The cooperative agreement will establish an ���umbrella agreement��� under which task orders may be issued for specific cooperative projects and activities.

Anticipated cooperative activities will include sharing staff, funds, data and intellectual resources, office space, and equipment for the purposes of understanding, conserving, interpreting, and increasing public (particularly urban youth) participation in conservation of natural resources in the MEDN parks.
