Comprehensive Agreement to Address Inadvertent Discoveries under NAGPRA at the parks of the Southeast Utah Group

This project will assist in the development and facilitation of a Comprehensive Agreement (CA) to Address Inadvertent Discoveries under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).

The process to develop the CA will engage affiliated tribes of Arches and Canyonlands National

Parks, Hovenweep and Natural Bridges National Monuments, henceforth referred to as Southeast Utah Group (SEUG), in shared environmental and cultural resource stewardship through consultation.

As a result, this project will strengthen partnerships with traditionally associated peoples through consultation and civic engagement to ensure the preservation of significant resources.
