Restoration Work within Death Valley National Park

The purpose of this agreement is to share the objective of assessing damage to, and restoring, the public lands of Death Valley National Park.

In the process, NPS and FOI will engage communities and visitors in meaningful volunteer opportunities.

Specific objectives include:
Phase 1:

FOI staff and volunteers will participate in joint trainings with NPS to develop restoration techniques and appropriate procedures for data collection and reporting.

â¿¢ FOI staff and volunteers will collaborate with NPS to survey and record instances of OHV trespass within the park.

â¿¢ FOI will work to develop a cadre of volunteers committed to monitoring and restoring OHV trespass within the park and skilled in data collection and restoration techniques.

Phase 2:
â¿¢ FOI staff and volunteers will work in cooperation with NPS to restore areas of OHV trespass within the park to preexisting conditions.
