Recipient will work collaboratively with the NPS to conduct archeological investigations sufficient to identify, evaluate, and make recommendations for treatment or further studies as deemed necessary in support of management needs for transportation infrastructure within four national park system units (Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Hovenweep National Monument, and Natural Bridges National Monument).
B.
Project Objectives â¿¿ The end result of the project will support DOI priorities for the streamlining of environmental review processes in order to efficiently prioritize infrastructure needs and conduct necessary deferred and cyclic maintenance.
The proposed project also fulfills the objectives of the Colorado Plateau CESU by providing opportunities for the Recipient to engage in and collaboratively conduct research with the NPS and offer technical assistance in support of DOI priorities.
