Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship and Summer Enrichment Program

The Bureau of Human Resources, Office of Recruitment, Examination and Employment (HR/REE), of the US Department of State (hereafter HR/REE) announces an open competition for one assistance award to conduct all programmatic, financial and administrative activities for the FY 2011:
1) Charles B.

Rangel

International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program designed to recruit and develop new talent for the Department of State’s Foreign Service and provides financial assistance towards completion of a masters degree followed by a service commitment to the Department and, 2) Charles B.

Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program, a six week academic summer program and serves as an important State Department Foreign Service recruiting tool.

The award, which supports both the Graduate Fellowship Program and the Summer Enrichment Program, is anticipated to be made in July 201 0.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
To qualify for funding, an applicant must be a not-for-profit national minority-serving organization with a demonstrated history of service to racial and ethnic minority populations and subject to 501(c)(3) of the tax code.

Organizations with less than five years experience in administering a program of this size, nature and complexity are not eligible for this competition.
