Hazard Assessment and Monitoring of Aleutian Arc Volcanoes

This is a notice of intent to award a cooperative agreement to the State of Alaska, Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (ADGGS), in support of a project entitled "Hazard Assessment and Monitoring of Aleutian Arc Volcanoes".

The main objective of this agreement is the continued

credit:


geologic mapping studies and volcanic hazard assessments of select volcanoes in the Aleutian Arc.

The ADGGS is a long standing partner in the Alaska Volcano Observatory and has 31 years years of experience in monitoring Alaska volcanoes.

With staff expertise in physical volcanology; petrology, geophysics, geochemistry and a record of eruption response and specific familiarity with Alaskan volcanoes and state and locate emergency responders.
