The Union Credit Union (formerly Inland Empire Trades CU) is a low-income designated credit union based in Seattle WA. Established in 1968 to serve bricklayers, the membership currently spans 5 states (WA, MT, OR, CA, ID) but has national potential. The Union Credit Union is a certified CDFI providing share savings and draft (checking) accounts, loans, a shared branching network, and other basic financial services to its members. Most of the Technical Assistance award will be used to support a new position to manage the “Step-Up Program” – a financial education and loan program to be offered in union halls. The balance of the Technical Assistance award will be used for capital expenditures to add pneumatic tubes at the credit union branch.
