Poverty Research Center

The goal of this solicitation is to:
Improve the effectiveness of public policies to reduce poverty and inequality and their consequences by advancing knowledge of their causes and the impact of approaches to their reduction.

To that end, the National Poverty Center will:
1) provide policy-relevant

credit:


research to improve our understanding of poverty and inequality, and strategies to reduce poverty and inequality; 2) expand cutting edge research methods and access to unique data to permit a fuller understanding of poverty and antipoverty strategies; 3) provide a core of multi-disciplinary researchers, as well as a network of scholars and partnerships, with a research focus on poverty and inequality analysis and policy solutions; 4) develop and train a diverse group of future poverty researchers across the country; and 5) actively disseminate findings to the policy and research communities.
