Brimley MICDFI Awards for Bay Mills Housing Authority
NACA (2005) - $80,000
Bay Mills Indian Community of Brimley, Michigan, proposes to create a Native CDFI that will provide assistance to small business start-ups and offer secured loans for home improvements and other housing related activities. Bay Mills Indian Community will use the Native American CDFI Assistance (NACA) technical assistance grant of $80,000 to help it establish the Native CDFI by: (1) obtaining consulting services to design its small business and housing loan products; (2) purchasing computers and loan management software; (3) paying for training related to establishing a CDFI; and (4) supporting its general operating expenses associated with the CDFI.
