The Community Lending & Investment Corporation of Jersey City (CLIC), a subsidiary of Jersey City Economic Development Corporation, provides loans to established and emerging businesses in Jersey City, particularly those that can increase employment opportunities for low-income people.

SECA (2000) - $30,000

It is receiving a $30,000 Technical Assistance award to develop a capitalization plan. CLIC will also use a portion of its Technical Assistance grant to help lauch a Business Development Center, which would be a one-stop shop for training and technical assistance to the awardee"s borrowers and potential borrowers.



CORE (1999) - $2,450,000

The CDFI Fund"s $2,450,000 capital grant will support the organization"s efforts to provide financing to small businesses in Jersey City, with a focus on businesses that are located in the Urban Enterprise Zone and that create jobs for low-income individuals.
