Established in 1999, Alternatives Venture Fund (AVF) is a certified CDFI that supports the development services of its parent, Alternatives Federal Credit Union, and provides the types of financing that the credit union is unable to offer.

TA (2004) - $26,425

Alternatives Venture Fund (AVF) will use the award to obtain consulting services to design a web site and develop a capitalization plan; acquire computer equipment and software; cover the cost of staff time to produce a procedures manual and implement the capitalization plan; and staff training in business lending.



SECA (2001) - $80,000

The technical assistance award will be used to provide for staff and Investment Committee training and obtain the services of consultants. The financial assistance award will be used to capitalize the Awardee"s loan and investment fund.
